The Andhra Pradesh High Court today accepting her bail petition and posted the hearing petition of former IAS officer Y Srilakshmi, the accused in Obulapuram Mining Corporation’s illegal mining case, to August 13. Earlier, the High Court has rejected Srilakshmi’s bail granted by CBI Special Court. Challenging the High Court orders, she filed another petition in Supreme Court. However, she did not get any relief in the apex court and she was asked to settle the issue in the lower courts.
Arrested on November 28 last year for illegally favoring the OMC, owned by mining baron and former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy, the prime accused in the case, Srilakshmi is presently lodged in the Chanchalguda Women’s Jail.
