The common belief about the film industry is that caste feeling rules a lot. And there have been many times when caste based statements were given by those who didn’t quite understand the industry well. But fact of the matter is, caste feeling doesn’t really have any place in entertainment circuit.
The general argument is only one community is on top and rest all are stamped down. Usually, they quote Uday Kiran as the example and allege how he was stamped down. Well, truth is, the likes of Harish Shankar, Kona Venkat, Trivikram Srinivas are Brahmins. Are they not in the top league.
How about comedian Ali? Being a Muslim he has a strong presence. Same is the case with Nasser the sought after character actor. And even the north Indians like Mukesh Rishi, Sonu Sood, Pradeep Rawat, Sayaji Shinde are welcomed without any barriers. Ultimately, industry wants talent not caste. It is only those useless and incapable people who blame it on caste.
