World’s biggest and tallest Ganesh idol will be ready in Vizag (Visakhapatnam) for Ganesh Chaturthi 2012. Vizag is rapidly catching up with Hyderabad and cities of Maharashtra in terms of celebrating Vinayaka Chavithi in large scale. This year, Ganesh Utsav Associations have been making arrangements for erect Ganapati idols of more than 80 feet.
Khairatabad Ganesha in Hyderabad stands at 58 ft, the 86-ft Dondaparthy Ganesha in the city towers over every other idol in the state. The Dondaparthy Ganesh, this time in Krishna avatar playing flute, isn’t going to give up the title of being the tallest idol any time soon, claim the organisers.
