Director Rajamouli’s graphical extravaganza Eega is creating mind blowing records at Overseas Boxoffice. Eega will be the first film to continue its dream run at UK boxoffice for the 3rd week ,With record openings worldwide it continues to rule the overseas market. The film has been doing particularly well in USA where the film released amid huge hype.
Trade pundits say that if the film continues with its dream run it would replace Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh and Mahesh Babu’s Dookudu as the highest grossing Telugu film abroad. The movie has reportedly grossed in excess of 9,00,000$ already in USA for second weekend. Dookudu and Gabbar Singh are reportedly the top two grossing Telugu films in America. While Dookudu became the first ever Telugu film to gross over a million dollars by second weekend, Gabbar Singh is reported to have collected over 9,60,000$ by second weekend.
Next week’s huge release ”The Dark Knight Rises ” might be a hurdle for Eega’s dream run . Considering the fact that “The Amazing Spiderman which was released around the same time Eega hit the screens and still Eega gave a tough competition for Hollywood flick. This proves the Eega high flying stamina.
