Sources say the survey commissioned by Lagadapati has predicted that the Congress would not get even a single seat in the by-elections.
While the TRS would win five seats, independent candidate Nagam Janardhan Reddy backed by TRS would win the Nagarkurnool seat. In Kovur assembly constituency, YSR Congress party candidate would emerge victorious, sources quoting the survey said.
What is worse, according to the survey, the Congress party would end up in third position except in two seats – Kollapur and Mahbubnagar, where it had fielded tough candidates P Vishnuvardhan Reddy and Muthyala Prakash. In the remaining five seats, the TDP would put up an impressive performance, compared to the Congress and would retain its deposit.
The biggest victory would be that of Nagam Janardhan Reddy and the lowest margin would be that of TRS candidate Ibrahim in Mahbubnagar district. In other constituencies, too, the TRS majority would not be too high but would be comfortable, sources added.
