In continuation of ‘enforcement against drunken driving’, the Hyderabad City Police has arrested 172 drunk drivers during the special drive conducted on August 4 at various places in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. A total of 172 drunk drivers were arrested and the vehicles were detained, of which 40 were 4 wheelers, 124 were 2 wheelers and 8 were auto rickshaws, Hyderabad Traffic police said in a release here today. All thedrunk drivers were produced before the III Metropolitan Magistrate B.C Rayudu. In this regard, the Traffic Police has counseled the drunk drivers at the Traffic Training Institutes located at Goshamahal and Begumpet.
