Story:
Khader and Sunil shifts to Bankok because of shootout case in Vennela movie climax find a saviour in Krishna Krishna (Chaitanya Krishna) who funds their college fee and the latter is attracted to Vennala(Monal) who is already engaged to Shravan. Shravan is pigheaded and Monal has a richie rich story to tell. Apart from that there is ample toilet humour and suggestive and blatant adult content.
Live interval concept of 10 minutes starts with thagubothu Ramesh introducing Bhrahmanandam. Live break is a crap with no dalogues in between Brahmi, Kishore and Ramesh which looks like muki (silent) drama show.
Performance:
Every one looks pretty average in their roles performance wise , Worth to mention is , Brahmi 45 year old virgin, barganing for hugs,kisses for 20 bucks, 50 bucks is funny and the dialogue ‘Mango, Maya and Massage will never get bore’ is good from bramhi.
Techinical:
Vennela 1 1/2 is Vennela Kishore’s directoral debut, Direction is below average , Introducing a variety of comedians at regular intervals one expects them to churn out something variety but they all end up as dim-witted characters waiting for directions from a clueless director. screenplay is incompete, Music by Sunil Kashyap is just average you can definitely forget it.
Analysis
Vennela 1 1/2 is an experiment and a film, It is totally a self-indulgent film and don’t expect anything more than that at least in this debut venture. He offers nothing new from the word go and makes it an excruciatingly painful watch, what is surprising is that he has no clarity on the subject, has no story but keeps adding characters every now and then just to stretch the film to it’s illogical end. To make it worse he has a live interval break, that is of help only to those sponsoring the film. He attempts something like a Delhi Belly tone of comedy but will test the patience of any open-minded comedy buff, only to reach the bottom of the barrel and not find anything in there.
Verdict
Urgently need a Brain for transplantation !
